The next image in our image in our 2011 Beach Calendar is of Blackpool. A seaside town in Lancashire famous for its Tower and Illuminations both of which can be seen here. Blackpool remains a summer entertainment venue, specialising in variety shows featuring all sorts of entertainers continuing its tradtion for fun by the sea visited by 10 million tourists a year.

As its the 1st of September we thought we would share next year’s image in our 2011 Beach Calendar is of La Coupee on Sark in the Channel Islands.It’s a the narrow isthmus which links Greater and Little Sark. The isthmus is flanked by two bays: La Grand Grêve to the west (right as seen from Great Sark) and Convanche Bay, part of Baleine Bay, to the east. The drop to Convanche Bay is steep, but that to La Grand Grêve is more gradual and steps have been cut into the rock, leading down to what is Sark’s most extensive and popular beach.Sark is alway worth a visit if you are ever in the Channel Islands.
